did seem to do anything.ĭ I really use serial0? or do I use ttyACM0? (update: neither one worked). Why did minicom all of a sudden 'steal' this response from PHP and display it on the screen? (never letting the AJAX call/webpage get the response?) displayed in the minicom screen? (and it didnt get forwarded on the AJAX listener all of a sudden? and hence the webpage never updated/change state for another submission to take place). that ultimately gets forwarded on BACK to the AJAX callback listener for parsing/check). I saw the letter 'c' (that got sent from the Arudino BACK to the listening PHP script. This worked fine the first times I tried it.

I then have it doing a while() loop to check for incoming serial data (response data) BACK for them Arduino. in the above mentioned external PHP script that opening the port and sending out data to the Arduino. and responds with a 'c' (complete) back to the RPI. that opens the port, send the string data. I grab $_POST data, and use an AJAX call to send this an external PHP script. I click on one of the buttons, PHP page/form submits. ** I assume that Chromium has launched and is also showing the webpage (but I dont have the RPi plugged into an HMDI display currently.and am working/debugging remoteley via Putty on my PC). (so I know MySQL, PHP, Apahce are all running fine). Which leaves me at some blank window/screen. I then scroll to/select Exit (not Exit and Leave minicom).

I am using Putty on my PC to terminal in. and hence the connected Arduino reboots as well. maybe you can help me fix and explain why? What is this minicom doing that I cant somehow set permanently on the RPi settings and not use minicom? how will that work/behave with the auto boot of Chromium and kiosk mode loading the default web page? How do I get that to work/run without having to manually log in and launch it via putty? Also. this minicom (emulator?) needs to be running for my project to work? (bummer). So this was just a setting 'change' that fixed everything. and hence closing minicom? That my app no longer worked. I noticed that when I closed out of putty.
* I'm not sure WHY this fixes things? (but glad that it does) * I'm not really sure what minicom even is/does? (again super new to Linux/RPi stuff in general).
